what are the requirements to compete at Nationals?

#1 YOUR COMMITMENT TO KINDNESS

Kindness as a Core Value: Our pageant seeks to champion kindness as a core value. We believe that contestants are much more than a pretty face with one of the most important traits being their inner beauty - their kindness, empathy, and their genuine commitment to making the world a better place. If you lack these what I consider to be bare minimum human traits our program is not going to suit you. Please keep that in mind before moving forward. The catty reputation pageantry as a whole sometimes has ... that has no place here.

#2 YOU MUST HOLD A STATE OR REGIONAL TITLE

We are registering contestants who will be competing at the 2025 Miss Agritourism Pageant. Queen kits will begin shipping on January 5th, 2024. Once your entry fee is received an application is accepted you will receive a welcome email from our office within 48 hours of submission.

#3 YOU MUST AGREE TO A MINIMUM OF ONE APPEARANCE A MONTH

We always tell our Queens that your reign is what you make of it and we want you to be as involved as you choose to be. We understand that you are likely involved in more than just our organization. However, we do ask that before applying to hold your State or Regional title that you are committed to what we are trying to accomplish in bringing awareness to Agritourism in your State. You are able to choose your events and if you log them using the form linked below we will even share them on our website and Social Media pages.

#4 YOU MUST PAY FOR YOUR MANDATORY AD PAGE

Not every contestant who signs up to represent her state/region comes and competes at Nationals. Sometimes we have contestants sign up because they are passionate about Agriculture and Agritourism in general and they use their title as a way to open doors for conversation. That is perfectly acceptable. We will not pull your title just because you can't compete at Nationals but we of course hope that you do.

Each contestant must sell 1 full page ad in our National Program book to be eligible to compete at the National Pageant. This isn't something you should pay for out of pocket, we encourage you to seek out sponsors to cover the cost of your ad page.

You have until April 1st, 2025 to submit payment and to submit your print ready ad page. Your ad needs to be submitted in a jpg or png format.

#5 REQUIREMENTS OF A NATIONAL QUEEN

National Queens are agreeing to a minimum of 2 events a month. You can choose the events you participate in but they need to be Agriculture/Agritourism related. Again, our purpose here is to educate the public and be a voice for the Agritourism Industry.

As a National Queen you are now not just a voice for your State but your are a voice for Agritourism globally.

As a National Queen you are also agreeing to return to the National pageant in 2026 to crown your successor and at that time you will receive any Scholarship you are to be awarded as outlined under the Queens Prize package.

Required areas of competition - included in your entry fee

Self introduction

This part of the competition you will be given a tshirt to pair with black bottoms of your choice. This self introduction is simply. your name, where you are from and one memorable fact about yourself.

*For the Baby Miss, Tiny Miss and Future Little Miss Divisions you will submit a State Card that is read my the emcee.

Press Conference

This is where things really get fun! This is where you are selling Agritourism in your state! Why do we want to go there? What makes us want to book a vacation in your state? We will have a videographer on site and these clips will be used on our social media channels throughout the year to promote what you are passionate about in your state.

*For the Baby Miss, Tiny Miss and Future Little Miss Division this area of competition the contestant will walk in a fun fashion type outfit and it will be read by the emcee from a stage card you provide.

Formalwear

Baby Miss - Little Miss can wear a pageant dress or heirloom dress.

Petite Miss and up will need a floor length Formal Gown.

Social

Queens are asked to maintain at least one social media page during their reign. The platform choice is up to you. This page can also be maintained by the parent if you prefer. Using this page you will distribute factual, relevant information regarding your state, agriculture/agritourism in your state and just general information about yourself. This page can be created as soon as you sign up and receive your welcome email.

The page name must be listed as

YOUR NAME - PAGEANT YEAR EXACT TITLE

So for example:

Ciera Ingram - 2025 Alabama Ms Agritourism

Photogenic

Each contestant is required to bring 4 copies of an 8x10 headshot for our judges binders. These will be returned to you at the end of the pageant but the 4 copies you provide must all be of the same photo.

Optional

You can compete in one optional or all optionals. That choice is up to you. We take your ONE optional with the highest score and use it as your optional score.

Optional Areas of Competition

Interview

This is a 5 minute one on one with the judging panel.

Commercial

These commercials will be uploaded to our YouTube channel and will be judged. You are responsible for any production that goes into this commercial and your MUST be in the commercial. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship. There will be one winner out of all age division.

Essay

This essay topic must be Agritourism related. It can be no longer than 1 page and has to be received by our office by April 1st, 2025. There will be a form available on our website for you to submit it. Due to the length of time it takes these to be judged, these are judged ahead of time.
